wife, mother,
photographer, graphic designer
Some things that I love include:
family, candy and most sweet things, shopping, photography (obviously),
editing photos, graphic design,
wedding planning, artificial floral arranging, dancing, soccer, ultimate frisbee,
and rollerblading.
I have envisioned myself from a young age in becoming a professional photographer. I love people, but what I really love more than people is connecting with people. I found that I love taking photos of people because I feel more connected to them than just a beautiful scene. People make life meaningful and create the beautiful scenery for me.
Photography is a beautiful creation to help one remember life events and the small precious moments we experience. Those memories and moments can be fleeting, but are meant to last, and what better way to hold on to them but by pictures that are worth a thousand words,
if not more.
My biggest blessing has always been my family, parents, sisters, and brother, and now I have my own little family. I met my husband at BYU-Idaho after serving a full-time mission for my church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in the France Lyon Mission. We have 3 children that definitely bring many joys and challenges. One of my favorite things to do with them is take their pictures for each of the holidays. It's fun to look back on and see how they have grown.

While at BYU-Idaho I studied graphic design and photography. I loved that graphic design and photography seemed to go hand-in-hand, working together to create something beautiful and sometimes informational. I find much beauty in simplicity.
I currently work as a cake decorator at Cold Stone Creamery and have for about 10 years now and have found my love of art and creation to extend to my work there as well. According to my three year-old, I am an "ice cream artist."
Recently, three of my sisters were blessed with finding and marrying their partners. All weddings occurred within 6 months of each other and I had the opportunity to expand my skills with each of their engagement sessions and invitation designs. I became the official wedding planner as I helped my mother to organize the events. Duties ranged from arranging their bouquets, finding decorations, searching for bridesmaid colors, etc. All I can say is, weddings are crazy, and in all that chaos I really do love the beauty and memories that can result from it.
